Holy Shiitake Mushroom, I'm Back!

Hey kids, long time no update, eh? I haven’t had my laptop since the 5th. It’s been in Ohio being fixed. I had a warrantee through Best Buy, and since my favorite ex-boyfriend wouldn’t fix it for me, I had to send it out! Thank VanWormer!

So, I got another dog! How exciting is that?! He’s a wild brown (mostly reddish with some black and brown) long haired Dashaund, named Beckham. How cute is that?! Mother flipped out at first but now she loves him. The poor guy is sick though. He has an upper rispitory infection so he’s on antibiotics.

Mother went to England for 2 weeks and just got back this past Monday. She got me a couple of t-shirts, one from Oxford and the other from Paris. A shit load of shot glasses, a bear that looks like one of the guards who guard Buckingham Palace, some other stuff that I can’t recall and my Evian cleansing shit! It’s only available in Europe right now, but it’s supposed to be the shit! It’s by the people who make the Evian water.

While she was gone I had the house to myself. Basically chilled with the animals. Jose stayed over a lot and he cooked most of the time which was good shit!! He’s a good cook! Nothing interesting happened. I rang mother most of the nights. My uncle was driving her mad. I told her that was going to happen. So now she says never again will she vacation with him. So now Jose wants to save up money so the three of us can go. Interesting.

I ran into Daniel at the airport while I was waiting for my mother’s plane to get in. I was so excited I could barely contain myself. He was on his way to Vegas for a Hickory Farms national meeting or something gay like that. We discussed working for him and what I need to do about health insurance and what not, so I looked into it and my insurance company will put me on this COBRA thing during the fall semester while I’m working for Dan and not going to school full time. I plan on going back full time in the spring. I need to get the hell out of there and finish up my degree. I told Daniel he needs to come to Siena with me and set me up there or I won’t work for him. I have a lot of “conditions” he needs to meet if he wants me to work for him. He wants me badly so he’ll do it. I love Daniel. I missed him.

On Tuesday night Jose and I headed out to Batavia for the Dave Matthews concert at Darien Lake. The driving wasn’t that bad. It was about 3 1/2 hours. It’s in between Rochester and Buffalo. We stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites, which is where Sean and I stayed in Clifton Park that one time. They are usually nice because they have a hot tub right in the room.

When we got there my card was declined so I had to use most of my cash which put me in a bad mood. Why? Because it means im broke and I have to start sleeping with Homeless men for money again. Plus when we got there our room didn’t have power so Jose flipped out. We checked in and then drove around to find something to eat. We went to Applebee’s, where I saw a GNC in the same plaza. Of course I get all excited! When we got back to the room the power still wasn’t working, but I some how managed to turn on a light next to the hot tub, that must not have been on the same circuit. So I hopped in and when I was done we hit the sheets. We laid there for maybe 20 minutes and the power came back on. Nice.

Wednesday we grabbed some lunch at this cute local place called Alex’s Place. It was a little bit fancier than a normal restaurant, but nothing like dressy or anything. Afterwards we went back to the hotel to nap. We caught a cab to the concert because it was easier than trying to find our way and then be stuck in traffic. We got smushed into a cab with like 6 drunken girls that I thought I was going to have to kill. Ohmigod, they annoyed the shit out of me. Turns out they’re from Syracuse, probably SU students. Just think, had I gone to SU I probably would be one of them now. Scary.

So the concert was good. Dave was awesome as usual. He played Two Step and Billies, which I thought was kind of far fetched, but I wasn’t complaining. He played Say Goodbye, which really got the crowd going. They played Granny and I knew Timmy would be pissed when he say that!! The only song Jose knew was American Baby. LoL. Crash was good, but I was hoping for Crush. I really enjoyed the closer, #36->Everyday.

We got back to the hotel quick! We caught a cab as it was on its way out, which turned out to be a good thing because the whole way back to the hotel the guy was getting calls and the waiting time could have been a couple hours depending on how lucky we were. But we were back at the hotel by 11:30ish.

Thursday after checking out we had breakfast at Bob Evans, and then headed out. We decided to stop at Turning Stone because Jose had never been there. As usual whenever I bring someone I never win and they do! I gave him $20 to use and we walked out with $67. We split it since I gave him the money. We had lunch there at their buffet which was really nice. The whole place is so nice. We’re going to go back and stay over for the weekend.

So other than that nothing too exciting is going on. Word on the street is Dave is going to do a winter tour. Which means he’ll most likely come to Albany, which is hot shit because my new employee Josh, can try and get me tickets and backstage because he knows the ticket guy. Hey whatever works.

Well kids, I need to get some sleep. Jose has a soccer game tomorrow. Night all.
